Eight of the most talented chefs in the country receive a mysterious invitation to stay and cook at a spooky, isolated hotel. They are instructed to bring a trunk with 13 ingredients, which will be the only rations they have to work with for the entirety of their stay. Each night, a new VIP guest checks in and challenges the chefs with demanding requests, and the chef who impresses the VIPs the least is eliminated. Before their final departure, the fallen chefs write their last will and testament, deciding who will inherit their remaining ingredients. In the end, only the most talented, strategic and resourceful chef will end their stay at the hotel $25,000 richer.
