A horse-loving family nurses an injured racehorse back to health – and back to the track. Compassionate trainer Ben Crane (Kurt Russell) leaves his job when his rich employer wants to get rid of a horse named Sonya who broke her leg. Ben takes Sonya to his family farm, where his daughter Cale (Dakota Fanning) and some unexpected support give Sonya – and Ben – a second chance.
