In this reinvention of the groundbreaking behind-the-scenes docuseries, Project Greenlight returns with Issa Rae, Kumail Nanjiani and Gina Prince-Bythewood setting out to find and mentor Hollywood’s next great director. With an eye towards up-and-coming female filmmakers, the team must narrow down a pool of thousands to 10 finalists before deciding who has what to takes to helm their first-ever feature-length film. From casting and shooting, to rewriting and editing, and finally, delivering a polished product for the film’s red-carpet premiere, the new director must prove they have what it takes to bring their vision to life on the big screen.
