Ensnared in a vicious media campaign largely rooted in homophobia, Dolores was wrongfully targeted by the justice system – and though she was later declared innocent, the baseless accusations, 17 months she spent in prison, and devastating aftermath amounted to one of the biggest miscarriages of justice in Spain’s recent history.
