Set in suburban Chicago in the late 1980s, “8-Bit Christmas” centers on ten-year-old Jake Doyle’s herculean quest to get the latest and greatest video game system for Christmas. “Every kid has the one gift they want more than anything for Christmas. This is the story of mine.” Just what is the proverbial Tickle Me Elmo of 1987 (“…or was it `88?”)? A video game system – no – the video game system. And it isn’t only young Jake’s fondest wish, but that of all his pals as well, and together they’ll go to any lengths to get it.
