This is the action-packed story of military men under wartime pressure. Disgraced Naval officer Lt. Houston (Arlen), who had destroyed his live with compulsive gambling, attempts to redeem himself as he signs on, under an assumed name, as a lowly seaman after Pearl Harbor. He single-handedly seeks out and destroys a new type of Japanese mine. Jean Parker plays Arlen's supportive wife, Mary.
